We provide counseling services to children, families, and adults. We understand that with COVID, political unrest, and the everyday stress of “just making it” we all need additional support. The demands of maintaining our lives have increased, while for many, our emotional, social, and financial resources have decreased. Uncertainty about the future and when this will get better can be too much to bear. We will assist you in providing space for you to prioritize your unique needs, identifying your strengths and challenges, collaboratively develop a treatment plan, and guide you through making positive, concrete changes in your life.
Depression, fear, stress, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Often those very normal feelings are in response to a very abnormal situation: loss, trauma, pandemic, etc. Still those normal feelings can be overwhelming, and it can help to have a counselor help you navigate those feelings and develop healthy coping skills. Through counseling and the therapeutic relationship, we are able to help clients recover the motivation, perspective, and joy you once had in your life or hope to have in your life.
Virtual counseling sessions are conducted through a HIPAA approved teletherapy provider called SimplePractice®, creating a safe and convenient experience for both clients and practitioners. We recommend finding a quiet, calm space so that you can focus, but we also understand the reality that a bathroom or car may have to do the trick in times of COVID. Do what you have to do to prioritize your health and well being.
